Ahhh... Good Ol' High School

So at PCVS I got pulled aside. They wanted to make sure I did not say that alcohol and tobacco are worse then cannabis. They didn’t want marijuana mentioned at all. But I put it in my intro though it was a poverty debate so we stuck to that. It worked out fairly well I think. At least PCVS invited me whereas Holy Cross did not.

I got a phone message from a Holy Cross student who really wanted me to come. And I am really sorry man but not only did your school not invite me- they barred me from going on your campus at all. Since the debate is not public I can not even go into the audience. But if you email I would be stoked to meet with Holy Cross students. Like PCVS, Holy Cross used the excuse- we have very impressionable kids and this is a sensitive issue. Alright at least my drug policy does not foster disrespect for the law and promote organized crime like the Lib/Con policy.

I was impressed at PCVS though- Brent (GPC) complained to the organizers about my muzzling right away and Linda (NDP) said she would complain after the debate. I'm sure both will complain to Holy Cross.

I'll write about last night Social Policy Debate later but now I have to write to the Arthur and go to Fleming.

Hmmmm...I was there at PCVS, front row. I was even doing some of the polling afterwards...
...interesting little debate. No, not a debate, there was no debating, more like a roundtable.
You made about 10% of the popular vote, according to the survey (just 5% under from what the Consevatives received)we took.
Besides the obvious "religious morality" factor that didn't get you into Holy Cross, I think you're lucky you made it to PC, we're a arty-potheaded kind of school; you're sure to have a reasonable population there to support you. However, everyone *I* talked to aftterwards thought you made up the "entertainment" of the morning (Hey, it could be worse. You could be "boring" like Lloyd, or "greasy," "creepy" or "bastard-y" like Del Maestro was cited to be...).
Happy "campaigning hardcore"!

Yah none of the 'debates' are really debates I guess. Though there was orginally a 2 minutes debate period for each question and the candidates thought that was a little whack so they changed it to a more orderly format which made sense to me.
I was stoked by that poll where I got 10.8 % of the student support. Beat out the Libs who got 6.7% and close to the 14% Cons. And though parties have huge multi-million dollar budgets.

Too bad they thought I made the entertainment- I did not have the oppertunity to talk about weed other then the first minute. But hey what ever- I know I am asterotype just like my fellow candidates and people should be able to see past that.

Anyway have a good one

As for Holy Cross not letting you come, it was the executive decision of the principal at the time. However, saying things like the Liberal/Conservatives promote organized crime isn't going to win you any favours, man. After all, it was the Lloyd campaign that protested TVCogeco's attempt to bar your and Bob Bower's voice at yesterday's televised debate, and thus resulted in the recorded message that you made. Not a perfect solution, but it was better than nothing, no?

Saying alot of stuff wont win me any favors. PCVS wasn't that stoked about my belief (backed by scientific studies) that cannabis is much less detrimental to the human body than tobacco and alchol.
It is not like my belief that that Liberal and Conservative policies promote organized crimes is exactly radical. The only time organized crimes control the booze industry was during the prohibition of booze.

But yah I did personally thank Diane for her campaign's email to COGECO. The two minute presentation was better then what I was expecting.

Have a good one eh
