Theft
My only real sign in Peterborough got stolen today. I figured something like that would happen but still it pisses me off. I spent over twenty bucks to make that sign and I hand painted it which took me a couple of days to do. I always get mad when I see Dean signs dinged or the occasional Linda one. But you know they are the big guys.
According to Elections Canada you can spend up to 85,698.61 dollars on the campaign if you are running in Peterborough. Since I got my party to pay the 1000 dollar deposit I am legally obligated to spend less then 200 dollars. I get no money from my party, I am not rich so I can not afford anything more then 200 dollars anyway and nobody I know is in the position to give money for this campaign.
So I'm just the little guy here, going to school, and trying to bring an issue to the election debate. But apparently some people do not respect that. I have not any of them personally- a lot of conservative, liberals, NDPers, and greens have congratulated me on running. I understand people hate all the candidates and I encourage you to go to the election booth and reject your ballot. Anyway I have a debate tonight- time to compete with the DeanMobile, Linda posters, full colour Diane brochures, and hey even the green party can afford pamphlets and lawn signs.
Anyway the sign is 5 foot long, 2.5-3 feet high, bright green with a white Marijuana Party logo at the top left. VOTE AIDEN at the top and MARIJUANA PARTY at the bottom. It was nailed to the fence at the corner of Parkhill and Dennistoun really close to Water. If you see it give me an email- Thanks eh.

wow ... we feel really bad for you, i mean to spend all that time on your sign and some jerk steals it. what kind of a world are we living in if the little guy always gets beat. you've got my vote!
